Cappadocia Green Tour: Underground Cities and Southern Villages
Explore southern Cappadocia on a seven-hour guided journey through historic villages, rock-cut monasteries and striking valleys. Begin with the panorama of Ortahisar, then discover Mustafapaşa, the former Greek village of Sinasos. Continue to Keşlik Monastery and Taşkınpaşa Medrese before exploring the archaeological remains of Sobessos. In Soğanlı Valley, discover the region’s rock-cut churches and enjoy a break for lunch.
In the afternoon, explore Derinkuyu Underground City and learn how its passages and chambers sheltered communities below ground. Take in the views of Pigeon Valley, watch an onyx-working demonstration and finish with a panorama of Göreme before returning to your hotel.
